REVIEW – UNRL Golf Apparel: The Name Fits the Brand

A continuing series of what has become me being a guinea pig for golf brands and their apparel has landed at UNRL, a Minnesota-based brand with the perfect name for its apparel.

The folks at UNRL are not necessarily mainstream, but they work with some mainstream partners, including many of the professional sports teams in Minneapolis—the Vikings, Timberwolves, and Wild—and they’ve also collaborated with Barstool Sports.

I have been a fan of UNRL since well before their apparel ever hit my doorstep or I spoke to any of their awesome team members. The look and feel of their golf apparel is one of quality and experience. It caters to someone who wants a classic golf look but also wants to embrace new styles.

Pants

It all starts with their pants. They have a couple of pairs that they had sent over to me, and they both have a great versatile profile that is ideal for the golf course and for the office or even out for some drinks with friends.

The Concourse and the Performance models of pants from UNRL both have their own uses.

The Concourse Pant is more of your traditional look and feel for the golf course. It has a tapered bottom and fits well down to the ankle, which is something I prefer in a pair of pants for golf. I don’t like things too baggy, but also not too tight. That tapered, fitted look is perfect, at least to me:

There is also the Performance Pant, which doubles as a sweatpant and something a little more casual for the golf course. These look great with a hoodie, and I routinely wear them at my desk. Throw a hoodie on with them, and you have a perfect outfit for the range:

Tops

One of the more unique offerings in the UNRL lineup is the UNRL Track Jacket. Every color and scheme has a matching pair of pants as well, which makes the scripting for your next round effortless.

It is a nice material that is wind, rain, and UV resistant and is lightweight enough to use during Spring rounds. You could even throw a baselayer on under it for the colder days.

Finally, there’s the Crossover Hoodie II, a perfect encapsulation of what a golf hoodie should be. The raised neckline, performance material, and moisture-wicking material is great for any round of golf, especially the ones that are a little more chilly than others.

I like wearing this anywhere; I just wore it on a flight home and put my hood up, nodding off until I arrived at the airport. It’s comfortable, breathable, and great for anything. There are also a lot of colors to choose from!

UNRL also offers polos, shorts, hats, and everything in between for your golf or athletic wear needs. It is a great brand with quality products at reasonable prices that goes well in any setting!
