WATCH: Embarrassing Mishap Results In Withdrawl From Qualifying Event
Tour golfers are just like you and I…sometimes.
On Monday, Ryan McCormick hoped to qualify for the Wells Fargo Championship at TPC Potomac this week. But unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be as the St. John’s product watched not one, not two, but three putts (including the final drag back attempt) lip out consecutively.
Don’t pretend you haven’t had an up-close and personal view of this same experience at least once in your golf life. Nonetheless, it’s still a bit painful to watch.

Following the third miss, he attempts to scoop the ball up but sends it rolling over to his playing partner instead. Partner tosses him the ball, and he underhands it off-screen in disgust.
It is unknown what McCormick would’ve scored on this hole had he finished, but the 30-year-old ultimately withdrew from the tournament following this meltdown and was listed as withdrawn at even par after 14 holes.
I definitely have not let this get to me at all and I’m ready to make all my putts now after some practice tonight @RiggsBarstool https://t.co/kSHkIAzngk pic.twitter.com/CyIrIoo0cP

He had a laugh poking some fun at himself and the unfortunate hole later on his Twitter account.
McCormick, who sits at 23rd in Tour points, is set to return to action later this week in the Korn Ferry Tour’s Simmons Bank Open for the Snedeker Foundation.
