There were multiple delays on Thursday at THE PLAYERS. Rain overnight delayed the start of the tournament and then there was a massive delay in the middle of the day which resulted in many rounds not getting finished.

Ian Poulter got to the 17th tee when there was about 20 minutes of sunlight left. With time limited sunlight remaining there was only one thing Poulter could do, run!

After he hit his tee shot on 17, Poults ran down to the green tapped in his putt and then took off to the 18th tee. Knowing starting on the 18th hole tomorrow, or whenever play can start again, was not going to be an easy starting hole Poults got waved up, teed off, and was able to finish his round.

Poulter ended up shooting 1-over on the day going birdie, par on 17 and 18 to close it out.

Oh yeah and if this sounds familiar, this isn’t the first time he has done this. He actually did the same exact thing in 2011.

Who knows when play will resume with inclement weather in the area for the next day and a half but whenever it does, how could you not root for Poulter?
