While we’re all fans of the amazing shots we see from golfers on a normal basis, it’s sometimes a fun exercise to see how some other celebrities are swinging their clubs, especially if they look worse than you.

And this week, the celebrity providing us with that entertainment is Tacko Fall.

Other than having a pretty awesome name, Tacko Fall, for those who don’t know him, is the tallest player in the NBA. He stands at 7′ 5″ and plays center for the Boston Celtics.

Many might remember him from NCAA March Madness a few years ago playing for the University of Central Florida and just towering over the competition. Well, now that he’s in the NBA and quarantined in Orlando, it looks like the big man is picking up golf as his hobby.

Even though all NBA players are stuck in a bubble in Orlando, they are able to get around the Disney campus and play on a few of Disney’s golf courses and that’s exactly what Fall did with fellow NBA big man, 7’0 Mo Bamba, this past week. And thanks to Bamba, we got a wonderful video of Fall attempting to rip his driver off the deck.

Taking a look at that swing, you can certainly see some of Fall’s problems. For a tall guy it’s certainly a very short swing. He does seem to get a lot of hip rotation into the shot but since he can’t keep his feet still, that probably gets offset. Overall though, it’s not that bad of a swing for a guy that big! And if it’s getting him to the green, he’s certainly not going to complain.

While it’s certainly easy to pick apart that swing, I for one would say it’s pretty impressive for a guy that tall and who grew up in Senegal. There’s not a lot of golf, if any at all, in Senegal so I would have to think he only picked up the game a few years ago at the earliest. And for as much fun as Bamba is having with his video, I would have to imagine his swing might not be that much better.

Overall, it’s always an awesome sight when you see someone that big swinging a golf club. And who knows, if Fall keeps picking up the game and improving, maybe we’ll see the big man at some pro-ams, looking down on some of the best in golf some day soon.
