Wild Moose Chases Golfers Off the Course

Lately we’ve seen our fair share of alligators emerging from the water to scare the pants of a few golfers or even the occational big snake that slithers across the green. We’ve even had a goose attack a high school golfer this past April. But in Utah, they have a whole other set of animals to deal with.

Just ask the players that were teeing up at Park City Golf Club this past Tuesday. While playing their round, the group came across something much bigger than a gator…a moose!

Normally, a moose wouldn’t be seen as dangerous (unless you’re driving in Canada) but this one decided to charge the golfers as they passed in their golf cart. And this moose is just a large as the cart it’s chasing!

The Utah Division of Wildlife Services was called to the scene to deal with the agitated moose and caught the video of the moose trying to cause some damage.

As of this writing the video of the encounter already boasts over 24,000 views on Facebook. The video is also tagged with a clever caption of “When someone hits into your group without shouting ‘fore!’”

And might it surprise you to learn this isn’t even the first moose attack on athletes in the past year. In 2017, a video came out that showed another big moose chasing some snowboarders as they were going down the mountain.

So while we may only expect reptilians to be coming after us on the golf course, this just goes to show that even the furry woodlands creatures can be dangerous.
