Have you ever wondered HOW MUCH the fancy timepiece cost that is usually seamlessly prominent on the winner’s wrist as they hoist the Sunday trophy?

Players like, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Kopeka, Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy, etc, have been seen wearing some of the best watches in the world during trophy presentations.  I have always sat back in awe wondering, ‘damn, how much you think that watch cost?’

In 2011 Tiger was brought on as a Special Ambassador to Rolex Watches.  Since then, he has been spotted wearing some of their most pristine watches, but just like his putter, there’s one he’s been hanging on to since 2011.

In 2019, as Tiger was presented his 5th Augusta National Trophy, he was again seen and photographed with the “Deepsea Sea-Dweller” watch made by Rolex. Now, let’s be clear, I’m sure Tiger has $500,000 worth of Rolex watches in his collection; as he’s been seen wearing many different beauties throughout his career. This one is simply special to Tiger.

The 44mm Oyster steel watch retails for about, $17,000 and has been a part of Tiger’s trophy presentation for 8 years now.

Applause to the watch companies out there that have been making players ambassadors of their watches. It is truly a great marketing idea, imagine being the company that gets to promote their watch during a trophy presentation that is seen by millions on a Sunday afternoon.

Maybe I can get a company like Rolex to sponsor me, so I can wear during the ceremonial handshake after every round (seen by no one), but hell, one can only dream.
