WNBA Star Caitlin Clark to Play in Annika Sorenstam’s LPGA Pro-Am
Caitlin Clark has taken the basketball world by storm over the past two years, and now, she’ll be heading to the links.
Clark, the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year after leading the University of Iowa to back-to-back national championship games over the past two years, will be playing in the pro-am the day before The Annika – the second-to-last event of the LPGA season. The pro-am will be Nov. 13 at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.

Clark will also be a panelist at the Women’s Leadership Summit the day before she tees it up.
Clark said in a statement.:
“I love golf so the opportunity to play in the pro-am for a tournament with a legend like Annika Sorenstam’s name on it is so exciting. I’m looking forward to seeing all the LPGA players on the driving range, being part of the Women’s Leadership Summit, and, of course, teeing it up in the pro-am with Annika.”
Clark expressed her fondness for the game of golf after her team was eliminated from the WNBA playoffs earlier this month.
CC on her offseason plans, which the broadcast said doesn’t include going overseas: “I’m gonna play some golf. That’s what I’m gonna do until it becomes too cold in Indiana. I’ll become a professional golfer.”

Clark has been a ratings monster for women’s basketball. This past April, the women’s Final Four drew bigger television ratings than the men’s version. Her games were among the highest ratings the WNBA has ever seen for regular-season games, and even with her team eliminated, the league’s recent semi-final playoff series saw viewership double from the same round last season.
Gainbridge is a presenting sponsor of the event, and Clark is an ambassador for the company. It also owns the naming rights to the Indiana Fever’s arena in Indianapolis.
