Linksoul Wants to Keep Your Golf Wardrobe Fresh
While Fall and Winter tends to be a depressing time for golfers in climates that see all four seasons, it doesn’t have to be. It’s the opportunity to mental and physically reset; see your swing coach, work on fitness and revisit the past year’s rounds to see where you can pick up some strokes and lower that handicap.
To make sure you’re comfortable while doing that (and maybe the occasional simulator session), Linksoul released a comprehensive collection of fall and winter pieces.

For those unfamiliar with the brand, Linksoul is the creation of John Ashworth and his nephew, Geoff Cunningham. Before starting the California-based apparel brand, which has partnered with the likes of Sahith Theegala, John helped build up Ashworth Golf. I know, ironic he left a brand bearing his name, but when John sold the company he wasn’t done making better clothes for golfers.

With Linksoul, golf is certain a focus (the masthead is “Make Par, Not War”), but it doesn’t define the brand (although, there is apparently mandatory Friday rounds for office personal). Instead, Linksoul describes itself as a lifestyle brand; a maker of apparel that can transition between work, golf, travel, surfing and any other activity you can imagine, but look good while doing any of the foregoing.
To make sure I looked my best wherever I was, Linksoul was kind enough to share with me three pieces: the Reno 5-Pocket Pant in Dune, Delray Polo in Navy Heather and Filmore Quarter-Zip Sweater in Dark Heather Grey.
Each of these pieces, whether I was dressed for casual Friday at the office, brunch with family and friends, traveling, shoveling snow or watching movies on the couch, felt and looked incredible.

Starting with the Reno 5-Pocket Pant, these literally got worn in every conceivable scenario: walking with my daughter around our neighborhood, flying to Orlando for her first Disney trip, walking 20,000+ steps through Magic Kingdom and, once we returned home, while shoveling and during quick trips to Home Depot to grab more ice melt.
The Reno 5-Pocket Pant were perfect and, with an 81% cotton construction, super soft and comfortable. They kept me warm and the pockets were perfectly sized so they could fit phones, keys, wallets and more (Magic Bands, snowblower keys, etc.) without taking away from how comfortable they were. Additionally, because of their style and fit, they could easily be dressed down, with snow boots and a flannel, or more business casual, with chukka boots and a polo.
Indeed, with the Delray Polo, I was able to frequently stretch this Linksoul outfit through an entire day at the office through to dinner while staying comfortable.

But when the temperatures dipped, the Filmore Quarter-Zip Sweater—also featuring an 80% cotton construction—felt comfortable, while also keeping me warm without confining my movement. Indeed, while I’ve been wearing these Linksoul pieces during what’s largely been simulator season in the NYC-area, I’m very excited to see how these perform out on the course during those early, damp spring rounds.
Linksoul nailed this collection. It looks great, regardless of whether you’re grabbing some pancakes with your wife and kids or beers with the boys at the clubhouse. Linksoul, however, didn’t compromise the construction for the sake of versatility. Everything looks as good as it feels. And the truth is you don’t really don’t get that from “golf clothes.”
But then again, Linksoul isn’t a golf apparel company. It’s a lifestyle brand, and these pieces will enhance your every moment of your day-to-day life.
