NEW: Nike’s Spring Golf Collection Is FRESH
Nike’s Spring Golf offerings are already hitting the shelves, and we’ve got our hands on a few early pieces.
Spring golf, depending on where you live, is different for everyone. Sometimes it is 70+ degrees every day of the week, sometimes a scheduled tee time is delayed by a few hours or even days due to the rain.
But, no matter how long or short you have to wait, the good news is that golf season, as a player and as a fan, is right around the corner.
Nike is always on top of their offerings by bringing things that not only fit the feel of the season, but are also appropriate for any temperature or look you’re trying to get after. With a few of the items in my closet already, I’m excited to break them out for the warmer weather.
Here’s what The Swoosh sent me so far:
Nike Tour Men’s Dri-FIT Golf Polo
Golf polos are some of the most standard apparel required. Nike always does a great job by offering a variety of materials, patterns, colors, and fits that cater to basically any of what you are most interested in.
For me, I prefer a looser fitting polo, and the Dri-FIT Victory, with its cotton-like texture is certainly my favorite.
However, it does not do as good of a job as the Tour Dri-FIT with moisture wicking, which is what I highlight as my favorite feature with this polo.
I also love the light blue color and the pattern on this shirt:

This will go well with basically any color pants that I own, but the Khaki Tour Repel jogger that Nike sent along with this polo makes for an ideal Springtime scripting.
Nike Tour Repel Men’s Golf Jogger
Now, I must admit I’m not the biggest fan of joggers. Not that I’m too traditional to wear them, because I also find a lot of comfort in an on-course hoodie, but I truly have not ever seen myself as someone who would throw a pair on for golf.
However, I’m truly excited for these. Not only is the material awesome, but the fit is second-to-none. They are almost tailored, snug, but not too slim that they are skintight.

They’re versatile, too. These are made to be worn after your round for drinks at the 19th hole with your foursome. Nike says:
“From the range to the course to your post-round plans, the Nike Tour joggers provide comfort you can take anywhere. A relaxed fit with a stretchy, sweat-wicking feel helps give you the confidence to swing your best. They’re water-repellent too, so the rain is never a hazard. Equipped with pockets all around for your tees, scorecard and glove, stay prepared when you’re next up on the box.”

I am excited to have a pair of these and test them on the course soon. For what it’s worth, they’re one of the most quality pairs of pants that I have gotten my hands on, and only a few feel as good or as capable in terms of water resistance, fit, and style.
Nike ‘Welcome to the Eagle Club’ Tee
Sometimes, you just need a nice golf tee.
I’m not someone who loves to wear a polo to the range if I’m just working through some things with my swing or hitting short game practice. However, I do want something that is still golf related or at least athletic wear.
I have a couple other Nike Golf tees, and they’re nice to have for basically anything. They’re usually pretty witty and also come in a variety of cool colors. This is the latest one I have added to the collection:

We need more companies to come out with shirts like these ones.
Nike Calm Mule
Post-round footwear is a necessity, in my opinion. Whether you walk or ride, your feet will hurt after a round, at least in most instances.
Enter the Nike Calm Mule. I like to wear something light a comfortable on my way to and from the course, Crocs are usually my option.
However, the Nike Calm Mule might be my new favorite:

Now, I know what you’re thinking: “When did Kanye do a Nike collab?”
He didn’t, but these certainly do have that Yeezy-like look. The back strap is removable, which turns these into a slide. They’re comfortable, dense, thick, and have a bit of an arch to them.
I’m not going to lie, since they’ve gotten here, I haven’t taken them off. I continue to wear them and as I write this, they’re on my feet. I went with this Sea Glass colorway, but there are a few others that are available.
Nike Air Pegasus ’80 G
A lot of Nike golf shoes have entered my basement, some have been worn many times, others have not.
Put these in the “wear many times” pile.

I honestly wore these as a regular street shoe the first time I threw them on because they are truly normal in terms of the sole.

They’re comfortable, but they still are not the FootJoy Traditions, which I have said for a long time are the best golf shoe ever created.
Regardless, these will be in the rotation through Spring and Summer.
