Add Some Swag to Your Bag with Uther Supply
While golf clubs might steal the spotlight when someone asks What’s In the Bag, sometimes the accessories are just as important.
In fact, the tools in your bag are only as good as you take care of them, which Golficity highlighted when it discussed how important it is to keep your wedge grooves clean so you can maximum spin and throw some darts at those pins. Likewise, you should consider carrying a towel when you hit the greens to wipe off your ball and guarantee the smoothest roll possible.
As a result, every dedicated golfer who’s constantly chasing their new lowest score needs to make sure they have at least one high quality towel on their bag. But herein lies the problem: mainstream towel options are often made with cheap materials that really don’t clean your clubs and barely last after a couple uses. Adding insult to injury, the mainstream options are, well I’m not sure how else to say this, boring.
Uther Supply flips the script and offers that perfect blend of performance and style.
Uther sells two different styles of towels (the larger Tour Towel (20″ x 40″) and smaller Cart Towel (trifold 15″ x 24″), both of which feature their anti-microbial, moisture wicking, soft microfiber material. As a result, Uther Supply towels not only don’t smell and can absorb a lot more moisture than your standard cotton-blend towel, but they are also significantly more durable.
In combination with Uther’s waffle pattern, you’ll be able to easily clean out any dirt or sand that gets clogged in those grooves or wipe off your ball before you line up that birdie putt.
And when your Uther Supply towel inevitably gets covered in mud, sand, sunscreen, or some combination thereof, don’t worry cause giving it a refresh is as easy as throwing it into the washing machine (minus the carabiner for Cart Towels).
Now, some people still might be hesitant and feel like their standard towel does the same thing. But let me tell you two more reasons why you’re you’re using a sub-par towel if you’re not using an Uther.
First, while Uther towels are incredibly durable and able to dig out all the crap stuck in your grooves, they also are very gentle. In fact, Uther towels can easily be used to wipe your sunglasses or forehead, and you’ll never need to worry about scratching your lenses or tearing up your skin. In fact, I found myself primarily grabbing the Tour Towel anytime I reached for my putter because I could easily clean my wedge after a greenside bunker or short chip shot and then wipe the sweat off my head with an entirely separate section of the towel because it’s more than large enough.
And while these aren’t the most common uses, I found two additional uses for the towels while out on the course.
First, it can also be used as a pillow whenever you’re waiting for the group in front of you to wrap it up on a Par 3.
Second, if you’re walking and it’s really hot out, it’s sometimes nice to take your hat off. And since I get headaches pretty easily, it was really nice to briefly ditch my hat and throw the Tour Towel over my head and neck to provide me with a little relief from the sun while I’m walking the course.
However, both of these “secret” uses are only possible with Uther’s towels because they’ve got a bigger footprint and, even after wiping mud and sand off my clubs with one-side, neither towel “bleeds through” onto the other side (that way, nothing gets on your face when you decide it’s time for a quick, pre-birdie hunting nap).
Second, your mainstream towel is probably boring, possibly even ugly. In contrast, Uther towels provide you with a ton of options to add a little flair and personality to your golf bag. For example, if you’re an avid golfer whose dreams are narrated by Jim Nantz’s? Then the Azaleas of Augusta towel is perfect for you.
But what if you’re a golfer who doesn’t religiously follow the PGA TOUR and, instead, just looks forward to being outside, relaxing, and having a few laughs with friends during a quality round of golf? Uther has something for you, too.
In fact, Uther’s design options are essentially limitless because custom towels can be made for special events, golf courses, and even other brands. For example, Uther has done collaborations with some brands we’ve checked out here at Golficity, including Snell Golf, Criquet Shirts, and Bradley Putters.
In sum, every dedicated golfer should be armed with a quality towel that will help keep their clubs clean and sweat out of their eyes. But while you’re at it, why not also express who you are and go with a towel that has some personality.
Uther Supply’s Tour and Cart Towels check all the boxes; they’re absorbent, quick drying, and incredibly effective at removing dirt and sand, durable, but simultaneously delicate enough to use on your sunglasses, rangefinders, and face.
And with all their different design patterns, I can guarantee there’s something for you.
