Alial Fital Golf Shirts Review
Overview
After retiring from the NFL, Quarterback Gibran Hamdan traded his 6-year football career for a sewing machine and began carefully designing and creating his own dress shirts. Later, Gibran’s friends started requesting shirts of their own, so he set out to customize his very own polo shirts to please his friends and family.
Gibran was forced to teach himself how to sew and soon after, he began Alial Fital which was named after his parents Laila and Latif (spelled backwards). His focus as a designer is to bring his creative design to the golf apparel world and he has successfully done that through his amazing golf gear and apparel. The company’s website is extremely user friendly and discounts are offered frequently.
Feel
I received two different shirts and loved the different material of both. The first shirt was named “Castle Jazz Polo” which sells on the site for $85.00. This breathable shirt is ideal for a hot weather round as it was made with a summer fabric gauge and is extremely lightweight – perfect for temperatures 80 degrees and higher. There two-toned color combination from color to shirt will make your playing partners ask ‘where’d you get that shirt?’ This shirt is not only stylish, but comes with imported Italian buttons and sewn-in collar stays to keep the collars flat at all times.
The “Game Time Polo” has a different feel (46% cotton, 46% polyester, and 8% spandex) and also comes equipped with Italian buttons and sewn-in collar stays. This stylish shirt presents more of a Bo Van Pelt style, as we have seen him wear these shirts on the PGA TOUR. We love the different colored color on this shirt, as it sets a fashion statement from top to bottom.
Fit
What I liked most about these polos is their comfortable fit. Sometimes 100% cotton shirts can pull you down and other material made shirts can be too loose on your body and perhaps hinder your swing. The Alial Fatal shirts fit perfect to my build, not too snug or too loose and the comfort level perfect. After trying these shirts on, I simply hung out wearing one for the rest of the day and got quite a few compliments!
Material
The label says ‘Made in the USA of Imported Fabric’. I found these shirts to be extremely lightweight and not sticking to your body when the temperature rises. Being comfortable during a 4 hour round of golf is key to enjoying a successful day on the course, and these shirts definitely offer you that comfort.
Cost
The Alial shirts are priced slightly better than some of the bigger named brands that we see on the rack like Puma and Nike. You won’t see any short sleeve polos on their website listed above $95.00 and you can easily score some great looking shirts on sale for $49.99. If you’re willing to spend a little more, check out their Push Polos – these long sleeve polo shirts not only look amazing thanks to the unique collar and cuff design, but are extremely comfortable and perfect for that cool, crisp day out on the links. These shirts are built to last, unlike some of the budget $20 shirts you’ll find on a sale rack in the local department store.
Verdict
After seeing some of the designs online I felt as if the shirts may be a little too loud for my taste. When the shirts came in, I was immediately wrong and couldn’t wait to try them on. If you wanted be traditional and pay top dollar to look like everyone else on the course, then simply go and overpay for the Cobra Puma bright polos or the traditional Tiger Woods Nike’s. If you want something new to stick out on the course and earn a few nice comments while feeling comfortable, cool, and stylish, pick up a few of these shirts as soon as you can.
