Antigua Golf Apparel Review
When it comes to golf shirts, I can be a bit…particular. Despite the amount of golf I play, I only own five shirts, and most of the time you’ll see me in one of a just three of them.
I also would never wear a golf shirt anywhere but on the golf course. That is until I was introduced to Antigua Golf Apparel.
I know…it took me a while. The company was founded in 1979, celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2014. Payne Stewart won the PGA Championship in 1989 wearing Antigua apparel. They also clothed the 2015 Solheim Cup Champion American Team.
Late to the party or not, consider me converted.
First, these shirts are incredibly comfortable. They breathe well and feel soft on your skin. I also feel like the sleeves and shirts are a perfect length. Not too tight around or under my arms and not so long that they bunch up when tucked in. Simply put, they fit.
Second, and for some, more importantly, they look great.
As I mentioned before, I was never one to wear golf shirts off the course. But these shirts are too comfortable and too nice not to wear them as often as possible.
And anywhere I’ve worn them, I’ve gotten compliments. Especially in regards to the one pictured here.
I know, it’s pink. But it’s a great looking pink. These shirts have been permanently added to my “non-golf course” attire. And now when I happen to run into a range or golf course when I’m out and about, I already look the part!
So I think I’ve established that I like Antigua’s shirts. But I also happen to get my hands on a quarter-zip pull over as well.
The greatest compliment I can give the pull-over is that my teenage daughter, when seeing me wearing it for the first time, demanded I give it to her. Actually, both teenage daughters have now laid claim to it.
Unfortunately for them, it’s my favorite piece of clothing and I won’t be giving it up anytime soon. Everything about the quarter-zip is absolutely perfect from the material, to fit, to look. It has it all. And I wear it everywhere, all the time.
I can wear it with warm-up pants to give it an athletic look, I can wear it with jeans, or khakis or shorts. It’s incredibly versatile. It also keeps me warm while still having breathability.
Overall, I cannot recommend Antigua enough for those looking to expand both wardrobes.
I mean, who buy shirts they can only wear on the golf course, anyways? Not this guy (anymore)!
