Arccos Keeps Leading the Way with Caddie 2.0
A couple of weeks ago, Arccos released Coaches Dashboard, which looks to help coaches more accurately identify where their students are struggling by providing them with invaluable on-course performance data. While this is huge for golfers who work with coaches, this unfortunately doesn’t really help golfers who just use Arccos on their own.
However, with the launch of Caddie 2.0, Arccos has demonstrated once again that it’s the leader in shot tracking/GPS industry with a new update that will help every one of its users, regardless of whether you’re working with a coach or self-taught.
In short, Arccos’ Caddie is an Artificial Intelligence platform that, just like Bagger Vance, provides users with real-time strategies and club recommendations for each shot. While you’re still going to have to carry your own bag, Caddie 2.0 analyzes each user’s shot history, the historical performance of other Arccos users, wind speed/direction and other weather conditions, elevation changes, hole geometry, and hazard locations and suggest an optimal and alternative strategy.
All of this made possible by Arccos’ partnership with Microsoft and its Azure cloud computing service.
With access to Arccos’ entire database, which includes more than 100 million shots hit during 1 million rounds played by the Arccos community and 418 million GPS mapping data points on over 40,000 courses worldwide, in addition to live weather conditions and precise GPS course mapping points, Caddie 2.0 can almost instantly calculate which club and shots is optimal, alternative strategies, and predicated scores.
Golf’s first AI caddie just got smarter
Arccos is the leading provider of advanced analytics and machine learning insights for the golf industry. Watch how Sal Syed (CEO, Arccos) and his team partnered with Microsoft to use machine learning to help golfers make better decisions on the course.
And here’s the best part: Caddie 2.0 is free!
As a result, every Arccos user now has, arguably, one of the smartest caddies in their pocket, regardless of which golf course they’re playing. And while in 2017, Arccos users improved their handicap by an average of 3.55 strokes—a rate that’s 46.7x faster than the average player with a USGA handicap—you can only imagine how many strokes Arccos users can expect to shave off their scorecard in 2018.
