Arccos Update – Now Connecting Golfers with Their Coaches
Arccos has been a trailblazer in the golf tracking system world since 2014. After updating from the original “bulkier” Arccos sensors to the smaller Arccos 360 sensors, Arccos released its first landmark update in 2017 with Arccos Caddie, which basically provides each user with their digital caddie.
In essence, Arccos Caddie analyzes all of your performance data and then compares it against other users data and the conditions (e.g., elevation, wind speed, wind direction, precipitation, and temperature). After crunching the numbers, Arccos Caddie—just like a real caddie—recommends what club you should use and strategy that should result in the best outcome (i.e., the lowest score) for that particular hole.
This turned out to be a huge advantage, as Arccos users have improved their handicap by an average of 3.55 strokes (according to Arccos). Furthermore, the USGA also determined that Arccos Caddie was permitted under the rules of golf.
So how do you improve on an already robust piece of golfing technology?
Arccos Golf launched its new Arccos Coaches Dashboard today, which will help users shave even more strokes off their handicap by connecting the information void between coaches and their golfers.
Arguably the biggest drawback of taking lessons is that a majority of coaches can’t physically be there with you on the course during your round. It’s either too expensive or their just isn’t time to do so. Instead, most coaches are essentially forced to rely on student’s post-round feedback and their scorecards and presume where you were making mistakes or could’ve improved, which then lays the foundation for future lessons and drills.
Arccos Coaches Dashboard looks to remedy this ambiguity by providing coaches with the invaluable on-course performance data that will allow them to properly identify where their students are actually struggling and, as a result, conduct more effective lessons and develop more beneficial practice regimens and playing strategies.
Arccos data has already helped amateurs realize that most of us are overestimating our club distances and that we can drastically benefit from having a better understanding of each club’s carry vs. total distance (particularly when playing Par 3s or attacking pins on approach shots). As a result, the new Arccos Coaches Dashboard is another landmark update that will drastically help users and coaches alike.
Whether you’re simply looking to improve, committing yourself to finally break 80, or determined that this is the year you win the local club championship, Arccos Coaches Dashboard provides the tools to more efficiently and effectively achieve those goals.
