Jimmy Hack Recalling Popular Orange Whip Swing Trainers as Injury Hazard
There is a good bit of training exercises and equipment that are on the market to improve players’ swings. Now, one of the more popular swing training products is being recalled for precautionary safety purposes.
It was announced early last week that the Jimmy Hack Golf company would have to recall their Orange Whip Golf Swing trainers because they present injury hazard to users.
This recall will affect over 6,000 Orange Whip trainers that Jimmy Hack has sent out to customers since the product’s introduction to the market.
According to the recall report, the orange ball that is attached to the trainer can be detached while in use, creating a serious injury hazard for the user and any bystanders. Currently, no injuries have been reported by the company but there have been 36 separate reports of the ball becoming detached while the product was in use.
The trainer in question has a black grip and flexible shaft with a weighted orange ball attached to it. The product was sold in multiple stores including Ustad Golf, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, PGA TOUR Superstore, Scheels Sporting Goods, World Wide Golf Shops, Amazon, and other retailers with a price tag of around $110. The products in question were sold from November 2017 to February 2018.
If you believe that you own one of the products that are being recalled there are a few steps you should take. First, the company suggests you call their customer service line and report the batch number on your trainer. If it does qualify for recall, Jimmy Hack asks that you send the product back and they will send you a replacement as soon as possible.
It’s good that Jimmy Hack was able to find the problem with their trainers and get the recall out before any injuries occurred. Hopefully, there will be no more issues with their products moving forward.
