Meet Swannies: Cool Gear, Great People, and Awesome Parties

There’s something quietly happening in the somewhat niche market that is golf apparel. It’s starting to get a lot cooler.

Not, it’s a little chilly, cool. A stylish cool.

For so long golfers have been limited in their selection of hats and shirts. Sure, Puma has pushed the envelope a bit with the emergence of Rickie Fowler, but otherwise, it’s been the same old styles by the same old brands.

But while walking the PGA Show this year, something was different. New logos were at every turn, with new and cool apparel from t-shirts, to polos, to hats.

Swannies was one of those companies. I can’t quite put my finger on why, but I just love the logo. It’s simple but really stands out to me. Maybe it’s just the way it shows up on their stuff. Or it could be the logo is what brought me in, but the cool and the quality is what immediately won me over. Everything they make is really nice and really comfortable.

The jacket I have of theirs is an immediate favorite and it easily jumps off the course and into everyday life. It’s such a great fit and looks so sharp. I can’t tell you the number of “that’s a great jacket” and “what company makes that” type of comments from friends (and a few strangers) while wearing it.

And with these new styles comes a new attitude about golf. It’s not just a country club game anymore. It’s a game for the people. And Swannies is set on making it so this summer with their Swannies Party Scrambles.

This is one of the all-time great ideas.

Swannies has teamed up with Billy Casper Golf Courses this summer to host a bunch of nine-hole scrambles that also happen to include a party bus, party games, and, naturally, beer drinking. Like, kegs at each party game, beer drinking

.

The Party Scramble will kick-off at a local bar, you and your team can get a ride to the course, and you’ll play some golf mixed with a game of corn hole, beersby, and kubb.

And if you’re in or around Chicago, they’ve reserved Sydney R. Marovitz AND YOU KNOW I’LL BE THERE!

Come play some golf and drink a beer with me!
