NEW: adidas PRIMEBLUE Golf Collection

Golf is a game that can benefit from being environmentally conscious, and adidas Golf is doing its part to change how things are done in the industry and END PLASTIC WASTE.

To help promote this undertaking, adidas athletes competing in THE PLAYERS Championship will be wearing select apparel and footwear made from upcycled plastic waste.

The more sustainable collection is made from adidas’ new PRIMEBLUE material made in part with Parley Ocean Plastic. Using upcycled plastic waste intercepted on remote islands, beaches, coastal communities and shorelines, the pollution is removed from our oceans and then turned into high-performance polyester yarn that can be used in apparel and footwear.

The special PRIMEBLUE collection will feature 2 polos and shorts for men, and a sleeveless polo and skort for women.

Perhaps most eye catching is the limited edition footwear for both men and women made from upcycled plastic waste. Designed from adidas’ recently released CODECHAOS silhouette, the CODECHAOS PRIMEBLUE will feature a unique Cloud White / Sharp Blue / Blue Spirit.

By 2050, our oceans may be filled with more plastic than fish. To illustrate how serious it is about doing its part, adidas will be converting 100% of its virgin polyester to recycled in every application where a solution exists by 2024. To help make a more immediate impact, 71% of the apparel and 75% of the footwear from the spring/summer 2020 golf collection uses material made from recycled polyester.

The PRIMEBLUE collection is available now on adidas.com and at select retailers nationwide.
