New TGL League’s “Atlanta Drive GC” Confirm JT’s Teammates
It seems like the new trend going forward is that, until the first match is played on January 9th, we’ll get more and more details about the TGL, including, most relevant, the players for each team.

After confirming last week that Tiger Woods would be an owner-player on TGL’s sixth team, the Jupiter Links GC, the question remained who would be joining him, as well as the other TGL teams that still had not yet announced their complete rosters.
Indeed, as of last week, the only complete team was the Boston Common.
But maybe lost in all the equipment announcements this morning was the confirmation of the Atlanta Drive GC’s roster—Patrick Cantlay, Billy Horschel and Lucas Glover will be joining unofficial leader Justin Thomas.
“This is a special day for Atlanta Drive GC and AMB Sports and Entertainment,” said Dick Sullivan, CEO of PGA TOUR Superstore, and executive overseeing Atlanta Drive GC.
“With these elite players joining Justin Thomas as the members of our team, we have put together a player roster that illustrates what we want Atlanta Drive GC to be – competitive, consistent, and always in contention to win.”
I, personally, find Cantlay an interesting pick due to the fact that he’s originally from California and, therefore, believed he’d end up on LAGC with Ryder Cup teammate Collin Morikawa or the San Francisco TGL team.
Speaking of which, for anyone keeping tabs there’s no shortage of talented golfers that haven’t affiliated with the teams: Matt Fitzpatrick, Tom Kim, Rickie Fowler, Xander Schauffele, Justin Rose, Max Homa, Cameron Young, Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry, Sahith Theegala, Wyndham Clark, Kevin Kisner (who I honestly expected to be Atlanta Drive) and Min Woo Lee.
Personally, I see Xander and Homa both joining one of the California teams—Xander is from San Diego while Homa is from Burbank—and Rickie getting the nod from Tiger to join Jupiter.
Given the pool of international guys, I believe most of the European folk—Fitzpatrick, Rose, Fleetwood and Lowry—will join Cameron Young—who was raised at Sleepy Hollow CC in Briarcliff Manor, NY—make up the unnamed New York team, while the Asian golfers—Kim and Theegala—will both join the San Francisco team.
But who knows? And until then, check out these pictures of the TGL stadium taking shape:
