Puma to Release New Fowler High Tops and Joggers to Public
Well, Rickie’s much talked about new look must have been a successful test-marketing campaign for Puma.
There was a lot of uncertainty about whether or not Puma would release Fowler’s TitanTour Ignite Hi-Top SE golf shoes and Performance Jogger pants to the public. But given all of the recent publicity it should come as no surprise that both will be available at the retail level as limited editions come mid-June 2016.
The hype all began a few weeks ago in Maui as Rickie Fowler (the only guy on the planet to wear these) started sharing the look on his social feeds like Instagram and SnapChat.
Fowler’s new outfit was one of the biggest topics of conversation to come out of the Hawaiian leg of the PGA TOUR this month as commentators and news feeds couldn’t help but weigh in with their opinions. The hype only grew when Rickie won the Abu Dhabi last week and his new high tops become even more of a media spotlight.
The shoes will be available only in the black-and-white design (seen below) to start but we’re sure most of the diehard Fowler fans will crave the orange style which is rumored to drop later this year.
The price is hefty though—rumored to be around $200 per pair—as the higher end models will be made of pigskin leather with Puma’s Ignite cushion foam for support.
The much-desired orange version is said to be coming out later in the year—also with a retail price of $200.
As for the joggers, they will run you about $95 and will launch initially in black and grey.
