STYLE: adidas Golf Launches Limited Edition Superstars

Following its release in 1969, the adidas Superstar is among some of the most iconic sneakers to crossover from the basketball court to streetwear. So to help celebrate this memorable anniversary, adidas is unveiling a limited-edition version of the Superstar that’s built for somewhere new: the golf course course.

Going hand-in-hand with the brand’s continued effort to bridge the gap between lifestyle and sport, the special golf version of the Superstar will feature the classic Superstar design, infused with golf-specific detailing that will remain true to the Superstar’s heritage without sacrificing performance.

The full-grain leather upper is waterproof and includes the classic attributes that make the Superstar memorable: the trademark rubber shell toe, distinct 3-Stripes in the midfoot, and prominent “Superstar” name in gold foil lettering.

While maintaining these key features that make the Superstar one of the most recognized shoes of all time, adidas strategically placed six cleats and secondary lugs to the outsole to provide traction and stability so that players can make a statement with every swing.
