STYLE: Are Hoodies Acceptable in the Game of Golf?
‘Rocking a hoodie’ is slowly becoming a thing in golf, but is this something we should accept?
Today’s golf fashion has drastically changed from what it was 10 years ago, and of course, what it was 10 years before that. We all remember Tiger’s dope outfit way back at the start?

Many of the styles and combinations that were forbidden from a golf course, now have seemed to find their place in what looks to be helping grow the game.
Every day it seems that more golfers feel comfortable with the spikeless shoes and non-collar shirts. And we’re seeing different types of style on the PGA TOUR like Erik Van Royen’s Joggers, Rickie’s bright colors and Tigers’ mock turtle neck.
As of late it seems that “golf-style” hoodies have taken over. Players like Van Royen, JT, Finau and many more Tour players have been spotted wearing hoodies in competition. At first I just thought it was a practice round thing, like the shorts.

As many Tour players add new looks to their on-course wardrobes, more companies like FootJoy, Nike and Adidas have added hoodies to their golf collection to follow the trend.

FootJoy’s most recent collection, “The Costal Collection” featured the costal collection hoodie, which is meant to be worn on those cool chilly mornings before a round or even on the first tee.

Personally, I like the casual look of the hoodie on course. It’s comfortable, convenient and more importantly I think it’s pretty stylish.
