EQUIPMENT: TaylorMade Adds Three More Qi Driver Variants, Rounding Out ’24 Lineup
We’re finally into December, and with that, all of the Major OEMs will start teasing details on their new 2024 models. And as we first reported, TaylorMade wanted to crack the ice when it’s Qi10 LS model appeared on the USGA’s Driver Conforming List several weeks ago.
But why so early? Well, the Qi10 quickly found its way into the bags of several TaylorMade Staffers, including Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Scottie Scheffler and Tiger Woods, and early signs are positive.

But now the LS model isn’t alone.

Going left to right, there are now three additional Qi10 models on the USGA’s Conforming List, respectively named the Qi10 (version 1), Qi10 (version 2) and Qi10 MAX. Like their LS sibling, each of the Qi10 models feature TaylorMade’s Speed Speed Pocket, Carbonwood Face Technologies and the Inertia Generator. But unlike the LS, none of these models feature the sole-mounted Sliding Weight Track that allows golfers to dial in a ball flight bias.

That said, it may be safe to assume that all of the Qi10 models will feature the same paint job—a polished black base coat with silver and navy blue accents, coupled with a navy blue Carbonwood Face.
For anyone curious how these Qi10 models match up against the current Stealth 2 lineup, it appears that the Qi10 LS will be replacing the Stealth 2 Plus, the Qi10 (whether that is version 1 or 2 remains to be seen) replacing the standard Stealth 2 and Qi10 MAX replacing the Stealth HD. Further breaking things down, the Qi10 LS will likely be the most low-spinning, low launching of the group, the Qi10 will be a middle of the road option with limited (hosel) adjustability and the MAX will be higher spinning, higher launching with a primary focus on—as the name suggests—maximum forgiveness.
Given that this is now the third year of Carbonwood, it will be interesting to see what improvements have been made over the Stealth and Stealth 2 models. Luckily, we won’t have to wait too much longer to find out.
