Tiger Woods and Nike Could Part Ways After 27 Years
Tiger Woods and longtime apparel sponsor Nike could part ways after 27 years, as some believe the 15-time Major Champion could make his way to another brand for the end of his career.
Few athletes have had as much of an impact on a brand like Woods has had on Nike, and he has worn the checkmark on his clothing since 1996 when he first turned professional.
However, the No Laying Up Podcast is now indicating that Woods and Nike could part ways after the upcoming PNC Championship, but it could be a more broad issue than that. The episode also stated that several other Nike Golf athletes could be on their way to other apparel brands, and it may mean the manufacturer is looking to get out of golf apparel altogether.

Currently, there are several golfers that are using Nike apparel, and they are among the world’s best. Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Brooks Koepka, Jason Day, and Tommy Fleetwood are among the names that Nike currently outfits.
All of them could be on their way to new brands, but Woods would be the biggest loss considering he is the only one of those listed who has his own personal line of golf apparel with Nike.
Woods has had an interesting relationship with Nike over the past few years. Since his accident, he has opted for a different shoe that is more supportive, and there is definitely something interesting to consider when an OEM as big as Nike could not or would not develop a specific shoe for his issue.
Additionally, Nike and Woods seemed to have some kind of issue when son Charlie wore a hat with Snoopy on it last year at the PNC Championship:
According to @NoLayingUp, Tiger Woods and Nike could part ways after the PNC Championship.
We have seen Tiger sporting footwear other than Nike ever since his 2021 car accident.

Woods has made somewhere around $40 million a year from his Nike contract in recent years, so whichever company wants to land Tiger may have to pay a considerable amount of money, and only a few have the scratch to afford that kind of figure.
