The Impact Press Training Aid: Does It Work?

There are a ton of training aids out there to choose from. Some promise extra distance off the tee, some promise to increase your swing speed, while others will “cure your slice.”

But recently I got my hands on one that promises something a little different…

The Impact Press promises to get you to start hitting the ball like a pro.

Now this doesn’t mean you’re going to swing a a driver at 150 mph. It’s designed to get your hands and body in the ideal impact position and it’s so simple to use I can’t believe it wasn’t created sooner.

You grip the club with the shaft, arrow on grip and red indicator line even with your bellybutton. When you do this you will see that the green indicator line on the club face makes the club dramatically closed.

Seems kind of silly but this forces you to get your hands in front of the ball and clear your hips before impact. If you don’t then be prepared to hit some of the greatest shank shots of all time.

However, when you execute the move correctly the ball jumps off the club face like nothing I’ve ever experienced!

I was a little hesitant about it at first to be honest. How can this funky design work and how am I supposed to know how to use it correctly? Well the inventor of this club Bill Schmedes (@bs3golf) had me covered. He actually created a series of videos that anyone can follow along with at home or on the range. If you have internet, you have a coach to teach you how to use this device.

The videos are broken down in sections and you can easily find them on YouTube or on the Impact Press website.

So, the question you came here for…does it work?  Yeah it actually does!

I felt it very quickly and I have started to see my ball flying further with virtually the same swing. I’ve been using it for a few months now, and admittedly, I haven’t been using it every day or even practicing daily. When I do get a chance to practice, this is the first club it hit.

The club is around the same loft as my 8 iron and it’s simple design isn’t hard to use. Having this training aid available is something that I feel is worth the investment.

Having a tool that allows you to feel the right impact position, comes with a series of drills performed by the inventor who happens to be an accomplished PGA teacher is fantastic!

The impact press is available at impactpressgolf.com for $99. If you don’t believe me, this tool has been recognized as a top product for 2020.

With a 100% money back guarantee you can’t go wrong with trying this out! It’s definitely worth the investment!

Ed started playing golf when he was 18. It started out as a hobby and something he liked to do but by 2014 it had turned into a full blown obsession. Since then Ed has committed himself to improving and learning more about the game. He doesn’t work in the golf industry, he’s not a teaching pro, he’s a guy who just loves the game and enjoys sharing his thoughts with others who share the same passion.
