Today we’re starting to think about our off-season workout program. For many of us, the fall and winter means less time on the course and more time in the gym. While less golf sucks, it does give us an opportunity to work on our body and address some of the physical limitations that may be holding back out game.
Since we are playing less golf, the off-season is a great opportunity to work on increasing strength. This is something that often becomes a lower priority during the season as we play and practice more and don’t want to be sore on the course. Strength is important to help reduce injuries and maximize distance with each club.
Squats are a great exercise to improve lower body strength and power. With a few simple cues, you can get the most out of this exercise without having to worry about pain or injury.
