In 1999, Payne Stewart held off the likes of Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, and Vijay Singh to win the U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2.

Twenty-five years later, Swag Golf is commemorating his historic win with a collection of headcovers.

Swag Golf is partnering with the Payne Stewart Foundation and Payne’s family to commemorate the 25th anniversary. If you remember, Stewart sunk a 15-footer for par to hold off what became a group of three of the best to play the game, in what was one of the most iconic celebrations in the history of golf.

The collection will cover anything from a driver to a mallet putter and comes in a quality and exclusive colorway. A portion of proceeds from the headcover will help support the Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation, which gives kids in lower-income and inner-city locations the ability to experience the game of golf.

Founder of Swag Golf Nick Venson said:

“Swag is excited to be a part of memorializing this moment in golf history with one of the sports’ most storied winners. The return of the U.S. Open to Pinehurst conjures images of Payne’s epic win to golf fans who watched it in real time to the newest, youngest fan of our sport. We are thrilled to have the privilege of designing this headcover, and even more so that together a piece of each cover will support the Payne Stewart Family Foundation.”

Stewart has arguably one of the most memorable moments in the history of Major Championships, and perhaps golf as a whole. His story is tragic, but his last victory at the U.S. Open was one of the most historic moments in the sport.

Consider picking up one of these for a great cause! I got mine today:
