Fitness Friday – Two Mobility Improvement Exercises for Golfers
This week Kirk Adams of Golf & Body NYC is continuing his series on the different components for golf fitness with a discussion on mobility improvement exercises.
2 Mobility Improvement Exercises for Golfers
Today I wanted to share 2 exercises with you that I’ve been using more with my clients and in my own workouts. They address several of the common mobility restrictions we see in golfers. Immobile feet and big toes. Tight hip flexors. Limited shoulder turn and shoulder external rotation.
For more, here’s Kirk’s detailed explanation of this week’s fitness routine from the Facebook group:
Golfers, before you head out and play this weekend, add these 2 exercises into your pre-round warm-up. They address a few of the common mobility restrictions I typically see keeping people from playing their best.
- Immobile feet and painful big toes
- Pain and tightness in the front of the hip
- Limited shoulder turn and external rotation
- These are not only great before you play and practice, but great to do everyday and to add to your regular workout program
