A 2020 Tiger vs. Phil Match Might Actually be Happening
Sadly we haven’t watched golf in over a month, but that might just change in the coming weeks.
Recently we’ve all heard talks about a possible Tiger & Phil rematch which would raise charity money for COVID-19, and there even some mentions of Tom Brady and Peyton Manning being a part of the match, but prior to today nothing had been confirmed.
However, today those rumors became a bit more solidified.
A recent article by Bleacher Report is indicating that our wishes for a Tiger and Phil rematch may just come true.
“Turner Sports has confirmed that the event will air live on TNT, planned for next month, with details on the specific date, venue and charitable causes to be announced in the coming weeks. Tournament organizers are currently working with state and local government and public health officials on competition and production logistics to ensure the event follows safety and health protocols.”
The 2018 match between Tiger & Phil was something spectacular to watch, but now adding two NFL All-Time greats, could possibly double the views & hopefully raise a significant amount of money.
With everything that has been going on a rematch may seem like a long shot, but with states like Florida & California recently opening beaches, parks, and businesses, I wouldn’t be surprised if the match would be played somewhere in those areas!
