Bryson DeChambeau Has a Crazy Drill To Improve Ball Striking – At Your Own Risk
One thing most amateurs would probably consider the weakest part of their game is ball striking and overall consistency with it. However, Bryson DeChambeau has the perfect drill for you.
DeChambeau has become one of the most polarizing figures in golf thanks to his unorthodox method of looking at how to play the game. He has focused on physics, weight training, and analytics to improve his game, and it has culminated in a Major Championship, and so far this year, two great performances at The Masters and the PGA Championship.
However, DeChambeau has his issues just like the rest of us. He is just a little better at the game than 99.9 percent of the human population.
DeChambeau has a drill for helping you control the club in space. This will help you get on plane and result in better ball striking metrics, leading to more distance, less dispersion, and lower scores.
Just one thing — it requires you to close your eyes and hit the ball:

DeChambeau’s method requires players to learn the feel of their club without using their eyes. With your eyes shut, you will have to rely on your instincts and swing to feel the center of the clubface, which will then lead to better contact.
He calls the drill “a bit psychotic” but also is well aware he might be a little psychotic, too.
Give this a try, and let us know how it goes.
