The golf world has been praising Tiger Woods and his amazing year for a while now but that doesn’t mean that everyone is a fan. Greg Norman, for example, is not going out of his way to join in the Tigermania.

While everyone has been basking in the unbelievable season that Tiger just finished, there is definitely still a lot of reason for people not to be his biggest fan. It’s hard to ignore the stuff he did off of the course but Norman has a problem with Tiger for a different reason. And apparently, it all stems from Woods’ win at The Masters this year.

In an interview conducted by Dan Williams of Men’s Health, The Shark was asked about what he thought of Woods’ big win. Norman then explained that he was happy to clear up the relationship that he has with Tiger. He then went into a story about how he had handwritten a letter for Tiger and then never heard back from him, which The Shark saw as disrespect.

“Very few people know this: When Tiger won the Masters this year, I wrote him a handwritten note and drove down my road, maybe a quarter of a mile, and hand-delivered it to his guard at his gate. I said, ‘Hey, this is Greg Norman here. I’ve got a note for Tiger — can you please hand-deliver it to him?’ Well, I never heard a word back from the guy. When I won my first major championship, Jack Nicklaus was the first person to walk down out of the TV tower and congratulate me,” Norman said. “I don’t know – maybe Tiger just dislikes me. I have no idea.”

Outside of the fact that Tiger is probably one of the busiest men in sports, Norman shouldn’t be all that surprised given the way he’s talked about Woods in recent years. In the past decade alone, The Shark stated that he would have picked Keegan Bradley over Woods for the Presidents Cup, claimed that Tiger was intimidated by Rory McIlroy, and also questioned if Tiger had it in him to make a comeback.

Even with this interview coming out, I’m sure that Greg Norman is probably one of the furthest things from Tiger’s mind. Who knows if Norman will continue to go on this crusade against Woods but it seems that any relationship the two may have is beyond repair.
