WOW: Monster Alligator Spotted On Florida Golf Course

The eyes of the golf world are squarely fixed on Augusta National this week where the top stars in the sport are fighting to win the coveted green jacket. But outside of Augusta, everyone is in awe of what they saw on a local Florida golf course.

It was on Wednesday when a video was taken at the Valencia Golf Club in Naples, Florida that caught almost everyone’s attention. Storm Eta was sweeping through Florida earlier this week and a few golf pros at the club were riding around the course to make sure everything and everyone was safe. That’s when they saw and recorded something you might see in a movie.

In the video, you can see an absolutely massive alligator walking on one of the greens, heading back into the nearby water. Mind you, Eta was producing some gale force winds at the time and it didn’t even seem to affect this behemoth. The two men that caught the video couldn’t even believe their eyes, and neither could the world, as the video quickly went viral, being featured on CNN and ESPN.

Many people have likened this monster gator to a dinosaur because of its size. The sheer size of the tail and the length of the legs are what really has gotten everyone’s attention. Gators aren’t uncommon to see on courses in Florida but club-pro Tyler Stolting said it’s the biggest one he’s ever seen. “I was a little shocked, obviously,” Stolting told the New York Post. “It was pretty big, biggest one I’ve ever seen!”

There are plenty of naysayers out there that have been claiming that this video has to be fake because of the dimensions of the gator, saying there’s no way it would be able to support itself but the men who shot the video swear it’s real. The issue, however, if it is real, is if the gator now poses a threat to golfers on the course. The club did not contact authorities to track down the beast and said as long as no one attempts to feed it, it shouldn’t bother any golfers.

While it might not be uncommon to see an animal like this on the course, just the sheer size of the gator has to put you in awe of some of the creatures that live amongst us.
